First Of All

A campaign for the good of Australia: First Of All

I think most people would agree that the state of our nation has dramatically changed over the last decade. It's not the same as it used to be. It's definitely not the same as when I grew up. Now I understand change; change is inevitable and it can be said that anything that doesn't change is really stagnant and winds up dead. But has our nation changed for better or for worse?

The changes which stand out the most to me are those regarding morals, values and what I call the basic foundations of human life (ie keeping the Bible as our complete truth and foundation for living, respecting children and protecting their innocence, traditional marriage, parents as the head of the home and so on).

Some of the changes that I see in Australia which are for the worse are:

Children being taught (or groomed) in secondary schools with the Safe Schools program
Children being exposed to sexual education too early
Transgender theory
No Christian Religious Education or affiliation allowed in schools
Christmas decorations, carols and cards being banned in many schools
Children not allowed to witness or evangelise in the playground
LGBT rights being taken to extremes
Parents losing their rights to know and teach their children what they believe is best

I'm sure there are plenty more points I have not listed.

Despite the horrible and downright evil that is surrounding the country but especially those targeted at the children there is still hope. Our God is a God of love and hope and provision.

The Word of God says without a vision people perish. Well I feel it's time that we get a little perspective and a whole lot of vision.

I'm going to share with you a strategy that God has given me. A strategy they will bring vision and a hope for the future of Australia.

First of all we must pray for the leaders of our country!

1 Timothy 2:1-2 KJV
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

Now we don't have a lot of kings around these days. But we do have prime ministers and premiers. So we should be, according to Gods Word, praying for them.

I've had a real big revelation that we followers of Christ in Australia need to pray earnestly and with strong commitment daily for our leaders and those in authority.

I'll be the first to admit (without excuses) that I don't pray for our countries leaders daily. And in fact it's never crossed my mind to do it. I have been praying for them but it's more like once a month thing or when there's an election coming up {insert cringe face here}.

Also I know that Australian's are opinionated and we all have something to say. But putting our earthly opinions of our leaders aside allows us to get a God perspective. Whether we like them or not is not the point. Whether we agree with what they're doing is not the point. The point is that God tells us to pray for them.

So God has challenged me to commit myself to pray this way and to campaign and encourage others to join me. Who are we if we can't obey Gods Word and unite together for the good of our nation.

I believe we can do it. I believe that we can and we want to join together to pray and seek God in this matter. Will you join me?

Gods Word says:

Matthew 18:18-19 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.

John 15:7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

Let's pray and agree together being led by the Holy Spirit to:

1. First of all pray for Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull daily.
2. Bind the works of enemy in Australia. Bind lust, pride, the spirit of control, spirit of oppression, spirit of discord, spirit of division, the spirit of fear and the spirit of the antichrist. (Yep that's right I said antichrist. The antichrist in human form has not yet been revealed on earth but his spirit is rampant!)
3. Release Gods love, peace, unity, justice, life, healing, reconciliation, salvation and Holy Spirit over the nation of Australia and its people.

So what are we waiting for? Let's get going. Spread the word. Tell your fellow Christ followers. Share this article. And get praying First Of All for our Prime Minister and leaders of authority.

Be healed

Healing scriptures to declare. Read them out over and over. Have faith. It's spiritual medicine.

Exodus 15:26: and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”

Isaiah 53:5: But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

Psalm 30:2: O Lord my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me.

Psalm 41:3: “The Lord nurses them when they are sick and restores them to health.”

Proverbs 3:8: “Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.”

Jeremiah 30:17: “‘I will give you back your health and heal your wounds,’ says the Lord.”

1 Peter 2:24: “He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.”

Receiving Gifts

Over the Christmas period Holy Spirit was talking to me and teaching me about gifts.

As any mother I wanted to give good gifts to my children. I wanted them to like them and appreciate them and enjoy them. I wanted maximum happiness for them. Thankfully this year I achieved it for all 3 girls. It blesses me and puts a smile on my face.

On Boxing Day evening after all the seasons gift giving had been done. While we were settling down for the night after a big week of family time and festivities, I heard in my heart Father likes to give good gifts too.

I was listening and pondering on that thought. Of course Abba Father likes to give good gifts to his children. He is after all a good good Father!

But like any good gift if we don't use it or if we forget about it, there cannot be maximum happiness for the giver or receiver.

As a mother I was abundantly blessed knowing that I had done well in choosing the right gift for each child, then again seeing them surprised and happy when it was first unwrapped and once more when I got to see them enjoy it while it was being used.

It is the same for Father God. He is blessed when we use His gifts for us.

And we are blessed when our good good Heavenly Father gives us a spiritual gift.

Spiritual gifts...

1 Corinthians 12:4-11
There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

What spiritual gifts do you have? What do you have the privilege of receiving and using by the Spirit?

As I was pondering a thought came to me I have the gift of prayer and intercession. As soon as the thought came I tried to dismiss it in my mind. I tried to water it down. In my mind I said 'no it's not a gift of intercession. I just like to pray. I'm not that good.'

Then Holy Spirit stopped me and told me... It is a gift. It is a very good gift. But it can be an even better gift if I use it more.

Tip: don't allow a seed of doubt or fear to rob you of your gift.

Is there a spiritual gift in your life that could be dusted off? Let's dust off our spiritual gifts ready for the New Year and get ready now to be fully blessed and to be a blessing to others.

I wonder how different our world would be if we used what God has given to us.
