Love. There is so many things that come to mind when I say that word. There are many kinds of love.

Just this morning I read a devotion about Gods unconditional love. How wonderful Gods love is!

There are many bible verses that reference love. Some very well known verses that instantly come to mind are:

The love chapter in 1 Corinthians 13
The ultimate act of love in John 3:16
Two commandments in Matt 22:37-40

But after watching The Help on DVD I am disturbed at how little some people love themselves and others.

Why must we put others down, ridicule them, discriminate against them, ignore them or just be downright rude?!

In the beginning the Bible tells us we are made in Gods image. The Bible also tells us that God is love. So we should be living in love.

What is love: thankfully the Bible also tells us...

"Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance."
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

So please I encourage you and beg of you that you would be mindful of others. Remember we are made in love -- in Gods image. Remember that we are all worthy of love. We all deserve patience, kindness, respect, justice, forgiveness, truth, faith, hope and love.

Be loving to those you know and those you don't know.

Be loving to those who you like and those who you don't like.

Be loving to those who are clean and those who seem unclean.

Be loving to those who are just and those who are unjust.

Be loving to everyone! Just as God has loved us, so we should love them.

P.S. lets love our children this way and teach them also to love others. That's a legacy worth leaving!
